Anyone owns Nikon D80 Digital camera ?

I'm not Nikonite, but seen some good reviews of D80. Solid built like most Nikons, good picture quality when used with good lens. Mostly your budget guides your choices.

d90 is the latest model, it is costing arm and leg. so I went ahead bought an used D70, just to use with my plain AF nikon lens taking advantage of auto focus features.

I have a D70s, D80 is good. you would find good deals on it.. look for deals with VR lens. When you shoot in low light(home light), VR lens will give you good results.

what range of lens do you use ? 35-70mm ? what else ?

I have D60 with 18-55 & 55-200 VR lenses, and I love it. :)

gurus,

I have just acquired an used nikon d70, using nikon 35-80 f/4-f/5.6d lens to shoot just a simple picture say a chair the bottom part of the chair appears to be wavy, the leg does not appear to be straight, it is slightly crooked at the bottom, what is the problem ? i know the chair leg is straight.:))
