I know that 10.6.8 can be on a dell netbook with an Intel Atom processor......it would be interesting to see if someone posts whether this new OS can be used to upgrade that. However, in the link above it says:

lion has been downloaded to my macbook, it is so good that you have to forget about other pc you have ever used.
