I would be very cautious about buying apartments based on online marketing and developer websites. All you get to see are the positives that they want to portray. You (or your representative) should make a physical trip to the apartment that you are planning to purchase. I have seen great photos of apartments but when I go there I would see many issues like very narrow unpaved roads, very dark with no natural lighting inside, narrow staircases, etc. For 20 Lac budget, you will have to target for apartments on the outskirts of the city. Most apartments which are around 1,200 SFT to 1,500 SFT inside the city costs upwards of 40 lacs to 50 lacs. For 20 Lac budget you can try in areas near new airport (Devanahalli), Hoskote, Anekal, Bidadi, Nelamangala, etc where rental incomes are low.
