Hi,

We are planning to move to Bangalore soon.

My in-laws have a vacant flat on Diagonal Road in V.V. Puram that they are offering to us to stay in while we figure out where/if to buy our own place.

Can some people familiar with Bangalore traffic conditions comment on how long will it take to commute from V.V. Puram to Embassy Golf Links IT park (near Airport) ?

Also - any other comments on how the V.V. Puram (Diagonal Road) area is to stay in will also be highly appreciated.

You will be in slightly old part of the city. I know VV Puram but don't know Diagonal Road.

I think your route would be,
VVPuram->Minerva circle->JC Road ->Siddaiyah Road->Double Road->Dairy Circle->Forum->Koramangala Inner Ring Road->GL IT Park.

Other option is,
VV Puram->Lalbagh west gate->Lalbagh South gate->Lalbagh East gate->Dairy circle->... rest same as above...

It's approximately 8 KMs, I think.

It will be congested from VV Puram till Koramangala. From Koramangala inner ring road to GL IT Park should be clear.

If you had a choice to have peace of mind, I'd recommend Indira Nagar or Koramangala for your stay. Rents will be higher but your commute will be shorter.

In terms of travelling time, anywhere from 1 hour to 90 min each way depending on traffic. If you leave early say 7, you may be able to make it in 45 min.
