Form a group to send flowers Individually to CBI?

Post by padsrik »

What CBI is doing now is incredible by Indian political standards. It is raiding offices of the Kalaingnar TV which is part of the sitting UPA goverment. Top business leaders have been questioned.

If CBI continues to act in this Objective manner it will bring a quick end to corruption problem in India. Look how one elction official (TN Seshan) shook up the entire electoral process.

So I want to send flowers to CBI as a token of appreciation of the work they are doing now. Any one else want to join me? It may be a crazy idea, but I really want to show my appreciation to CBI for waking up! Also to motivate them to continue and finish what they have started.

The raid on Kalaignar TV was a joke. Short of telling them that we'll be visiting you at such and such times, all other information was given.

After the news about the 200 Crores loan given to Kalaignar TV, it was only logical that CBI would raid them. If they still find some damning evidence, the folks in Kalaignar TV should be punished for stupidity :) if not for anything else.

Such was the secrecy surrounding the raid that kanimozhi did not even have knowledge of the same when questioned and again repeated they (her family) had nothing to hide. How can there be anything to hide if everything connected with the scam is safely burnt and reduced to ashes.(jayalalitha has claimed she has proof that crucial documents were burnt on 10th feb in kalaignar TV premises).:)

Even if Kalaignar had prior knowledge of the raid, the very fact that CBI conducted the raid at a crucial time (assembly elections are nearby) is appreciable. I cant remember that happening to a sitting government in TN. This raid has done considerable damage to DMK's prospects in the elections.

CBI is conducting the raid because SC directed them to investigate 2G scam. We can not expect court to start investigations for all scams. CBI should have done this 2 years back when 2G scam was reported. They are still dancing to the tune of the ruling party. In this case Cong is sandwiched between Opposition stalling the Parliament and SC ordering the CBI to investigate. Send flowers to SC which has woken up after a long slumber although it is not the job of the court to order raids.

OP,

I can understand your feelings. However I dont understand the policy of these CBI raids. Most of the time they raid after weeks or months of the incident became public that too only when there is a compelling political or legal reason to it. I am not sure why any one would keep anything they dont want the authorities to see at their places after the incident become public.

In my opinion CBI just like all other police institutions is a tool to who ever is in power. I think this is a serious flaw in the constitution which everyone recognises and promise to fix but never will. If only it is as independent as judiciary then we can expect something. I am sure there are still a lot of respectable officers in police institutions.

I think if anything it is a sign that congress is going with Jayalalita next time in my opinion.
