The Kundalini Yoga - The ultimate yoga - Anything else in the world is not worth it..
The Only way to Taste Bliss - The only way to proove the mumbo-Jumbo. until then ...
113. As long as the Prana does not enter and flow in the middle channel and the desires does not become firm by the control of the movements of the Prana; as long as the mind does not slow down without any effort in Dharana, so long all the talk of knowledge and wisdom is merely the nonsensical babbling of mad man.
Still several billions are struggling so hard, even just to get a taste of Dharana-Dhyana-Samadhi(DDS), Hmm.. what a long way to go? Just wondering if there would be anybody in this forum, who has ever gotten anywhere closer to tasting this thunder.

I dont know how come Lalaus relativistic theory or mulayams mechanics books can teach science. Please dont take the definition of Dharma from the mouths of beggars as the suo moto standard.
My grandma used to say bank'stuff' are the people who take your money to cheat you... Not that i cannot explain banking to her, since she is so deeply rooted in ignorance (opinions, apprehention, prejudice), like me, she cannot get the basic idea no matter how hard you and i try. Rather i would keep her pondering (by provoking) by saying Banking is only for intelligent humans you dont have to invest there. I know someday she'll start on that discussion and grow on her own.
Like wise Kundalini yoga is way too high to be a discussion at this early stage. Its like a particle physicist talking superstring theory with a 6 year old or to my opininianated grandma (with no education).. Dont you think it needs some pre-graduation in (DDS) and Yama-Niyama methodologies/strategies etc., ?
if not it will sound like, the way it sounded to you.... as pleasure.

That blissful state is the mumbo-jumbo. Blisful state is not by production.. Even you can only 'be happy' and not produce "happiness"... Bliss is a notch above happiness...
The other one is the definition or identification of the term meditation with certain kind of a technique, is the other mumbo-jumbo theory presumed from some junksters definition, which vindicates my grandma's limbo paradox..

OP, I am not sure if I understand all of your post. However, here is my exprience -
1) I have not studied (graduated) or pacticed any yoga as such, may be a couple of hatha yoga sessions in the gym - just for stretching exercises.
2) I have read/heard few views about Paatanjali. He was a very scientific man and that yoga is not the property of any religion, it is jus tbased on experiments and experiences received through these experiments i.e one doesn't need to have any belief/faith in it. I also read that Paatanjali had great accuracy in everything. He would ever ever speak even a word more/less than required.
Don't ask me if this is true or false or any links/evidences because this reading happened long ago. These were just somebody's views.
3) The only closest experience to yoga that I have can be mapped to 'Pratyahara' which i have learned accidentally.
Some time ago I was chatting with my other half about a few things that i experience when i try to relax. It feels as if my senses were shut and slowly slowly they have opened up again (especially eyes and ears). I asked him if shutting down of senses causes relaxation ?
Then some days ago when i was trying to google for something I happened to read some website that described 'Pratyahara' and I thought what I felt was similar.
Don't know any other thing in yoga apart from it.
4) Kundalini meditation, yes I have tried it ( as developed by Osho) as an active meditation along with other active/semi active techniques like 'Nadbramha' , 'Gibberish', sufi whirling etc... Thought it would be good before jumping into vipasyana (the most passive one).
The only thing I have noticed is my back and spine do get straight while following meditative techniques and i feel more alert, sensitive yet less affected personally by what goes aorund.
No more experiences with yoga or Kundalini yoga as such. I haven't even found the ida, pingala in my body yet forget about sushumna. But I don't deny it's existence. It may(may not) happen to me someday.... who knows. Probably i am not even trying to know it.
I was told 'Dnyaneshwari' (is it also called 'Bhavartha Deepika' ? by Saint Dynaneshwar) has a very good text on this. Didn't get a chance to read it yet.

What does "bliss" taste like? I presume you must have done it considering your authoritative statements.

What is prana?
What is middle channel?
What are movements of prana?
This thread is heavy for early morning discussion! But since Desi is a good friend and his questions are often asked with an open mind, I will try to address them. All my answers below draw heavily on vedic scriptures so to accept these answers, you have to acknowledge the source.
Prana refers to the "life air", which is a subtle element providing life to the otherwise inanimate physical body and makes it feel and enjoy the senses (touch, sight, hearing etc.) The in-and-out breath that we all take is the physical manifestation of Prana. So, one who is able to control the Prana by yogic achievements, is able to voluntarily suspend breathing for extended periods of time. This is what many Yogis and Siddhas are claimed to have done/doing/able to do.
Middle Channel refers to the central Nadi (or subtle nerve path connecting the brain to the tip of the abdomen, presumed to be inside the spinal cord). It is called the Brahma Nadi or the Sushumna Nadi. There are 2 channels (or nadis) on either side of this middle channel, called the Ida and Pingala nadis, supposedly inferior to the middle Brahma nadi.
The movements of the Prana refer to the movement of the Kundalini or the dormant energy rising along the Brahma nadi for yogis (from the first chakra or node, called Muladhara, at the genital region) to reach the tip of the brain (the topmost chakra/node called Sahasrara). When Kundalini energy reaches the topmost chakra, a yogi becomes "self-realized" and achieves a constant state of bliss. All the yogic powers (as defined by the sage Patanjali - considered the master of Yoga) such as teleportation, telepathy, ability to assume infinitesimally small or gigantic sizes etc. are believed to be bestowed on such a Yogi whose Prana reaches the Sahasrara chakra. (Some vedic texts declare that achievement of these yogic powers per se should not be the motivation of an aspiring yogi but that these powers naturally are available to the Yogi at the state of highest bliss).
I hope these answers are sufficient to follow Rudra's discussion in this thread. With Bobus and Desi taking a "logical" viewpoint and Rudra taking a yogic perspective, this should be an interesting thread to follow.

One more question, before my further comments.
Kundalini - what are the signs that someone has an awakened Kundalini?

It seems that you have a very good knowledge of Yoga and things like that. Perhaps you can shed some light on it.
I saw a program once where some monks or marshal arts experts were able to spend a night outside in snow without any protective gear.
There is this guy in Holland who is able to swim underwater www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfCsSDiPZxk&mode=user&search=

British guy did it as well. and there is some explaination on how he achieves it.

Are these things also related to stuff like kundlini yoga?
