May be, it's just me.. But I am really confused by the definition of Vegetarian, as mentioned by Mark.

[QUOTE] This year I've basically become a vegetarian since the only meat I'm eating is from animals I've killed myself.

What am I missing? Is this vegetarianism?

I guess he meant he is vegetarian because he isn't going hunting for animals this year :)

He can eat all the farm animals he wants, the way he wants. But vegetarianism?? what BS is that. Without getting all technical about insects, germs and animal byproducts used in sugar etc, my defn. of vegetarianism includes fruits and vegetables, but no large animals. (roots, leaves, fruits, and the whole shabang).

In the interest of full disclosure: I eat anything that looks, smells and tastes good.

On May 4, Zuckerberg posted a note to the 847 friends on his private page: "I just killed a pig and a goat."

Tasting; one finds out too late.

Looks and smell do for me.

He says, he has"basically become a vegetarian". I interpret this not that he is a vegetarian but rather except for occasionally he is a vegetarian for the most part.

Since, it is reasonable to assume that he won't be out killing every week, this means he won't have meat that he killed himself for the most part and hence will be relegated to the vegetarian fare. I know people who say - "I am vegetarian for all week except sunday".

I know several people who kill a big animal and freeze them, usually it takes them through 4-6 months. Say a cow that is butchered with two other families usually last up to 4 months for each family.

If Zuckerburg butchered a pig and a goat he should be set for 4-5 months if he uses it only for him and his girlfriend. I don't know what he thinks about eating frozen meat.

He needs to do it with his bare hands not with any tools. That is what animals do in the wild. If he can do that, then he is following the rules of nature. We should post our comments on his Facebook wall.

If he did that, then I doubt he would have said "basically a vegetarian", but who knows if that was in jest or in all sincerity.

Or he means animals thats killed humanely, not halal/kosher.
Hope he also ensures that animals are raised humanely too.
