question about OCI process for minor

Hello,

I am about to apply for OCI for my 1 month old son. I have a question for all those who have successfully completed the OCI process for their kids.
Me and my wife already have OCI for ourselves.

Are we supposed to submit parent's original US passport and OCI card to cox and King or are supposed to submit copies? I could not get clear answer from cox and king website.
I am scared to submit my original passport/OCI.

Not correct. You have to submit both parents original passport as per the updated process. You have to send original passports, PIO and parents passports along with colored xerox copies. They will return the original again after 5-7 days. After that they will take 2 months to process and again you have to send the originals for match-up process. This is little complicated, but this is what I inferred by other forums and sites..
