I wanted to suggest Dr kalyan Sundaram in bangalore. His treatment has partially helped my mom. Please have courage. i know you might ...

As I drive around, tons of new business complexes coming up, Apartments in good residential areas are crazily priced (just ...
After recent loss of capital in trading endeavor I have started thinking about long term AAP. My bad trading is somewhat detailed in Day Trading thread for those curious to know. What is worse is that my risk appetite is now considerably reduced. I am very risk averse. Here is ...

Why do people love to cut in line?
This remind me one of my trip to South Indian temple in South India. Don't remember what was the place, but I was not allowed to wear shirt and there was a separate line for men and women. Place was jam pack, and I was way behind. In few minutes priest told his assistant to ...

US Stock Market: General Discussion
i have to admit i am officially nervous and worried about my 3-4 yr horizon investments and whether to continue with that plan.
my long term investment plan does not change ofcourse (never wavered even during 2007-08 crash, so i think i will stick to it).
enjoyed the gravy train ride this decade.

Why do people love to cut in line?
i make a lot of noise when someone cuts the line in front of me - i loudly object and have done this at airports, indian consulate in SF, cashier counters in indian malls (the educated IT types are notorious line cutters). but during the morning rush hour commute, i cut liberally - my logic is that ...

Indians in America facing different Phases in Life.....A Must Read Article.....
i thought that article was disingenuous. it is unscientific and the author does acknowledge that. it makes the point about as you "settle" and "grow", """Happiness level comes down due to missing family relationships and not able to take care of aging parents.""". While this is partially true, it is ...

FCNR Foreign Currency Non Resident Account
Where are you getting 8.5% ? I'm seeing the rates are hovering around 3% which isnt that attractive.
3% is somewhat attractive if USD is part of your portfolio? cash is preferred because of its potential usage in the short term (2-3 years) - house purchase etc.
