Selling Indian Mutual Funds and US tax reporting

Dear Rajesh,

For a US NRI, holding mutual funds under 1 lac INR and have sold them recently, how does one report them on US Taxes?
Do they report it on Form 8621 -PFIC or use the normal Schedule D(Form 8949)

Please advise at your earliest.
