BMW anytime :) I drive an X4 and it's awesome. I was also in same boat last year, almost sold to Q5 for the looks but when I actually tried it I did not look back at the Q5, it was nothing when compared to the BMW. And now I am happy with the decision made.

I don't think you are allowed to live in a 1 bed with a kid. Many people obviously sign the lease by yourself and do not add their family members in the lease to skip the one time application fee's, but the owner can issue a eviction notice if he finds out :)
