Pls share your experience with custom officials. Did you take a lot of new stuff? How did they 'Tax' you? any hassles in clearing goods? Appreciate your input.

forgot to mention that 70% is also fixed but can be claimed as tax deductible (car+rent+chaueffer+bla..bla..,)

yep, 30% fixed, I guess they want us to save on tax :)

Friends, here is the offer i got.
Location: Hyderabad
CTC: 31L (30% fixed, 70% variable)+15%Bonus+pf+Gratuity
Relocation: standard package (tickets + FCL)

How do you rate it?

not a great offer, but sounds OK. I assume you have bonus+pf+pension on top it?

If you are from Pune or around, i dont see any advantage in moving from Tier2 to Tier1 city for that salary
