yup..not sure about the 50K limit....never heard of it. it must be a new development. Most people I know open NRE or NRO accounts with Indian banks in Overseas branches (for eg. SBI/ ICICI etc.) and let all the money sit there. Once they reach India, it is easy for them to have access to the money ...

kcube06, Why worry about future stress when you are already going thru some in present? The way I look at it is that in any new job, it takes some time to sink in and get adjusted with the work culture, the people, the technology, IT/HR processes, policies etc. that itself could take anywhere from 1 ...

I suggest...go with Option 2. Given that you are on EAD, you have the flexibility to move freely (read as job hopping), which for many is still a distant dream. Go ahead, take the plunge....
