I have a NRE and NRO account with ICICI and called ICICI bank to check what the FD rates are etc. If I have money in my NRO account, they can open a FD over the phone. RRK, Please correct my understanding. If you are a NRI, and invest in say a FD in a bank, TDS is at 20%. On the other hand if you are a resident indian ( Could be a USC), TDS is at 10%. Is that correct ?. Is tat what you mean by TDS could be higher ?. I did not understand your comment about not ...
