I had most(90%) of my contributions invested in MFs. and rest in Cash Reserves. Under what catagory I should reports gains on then in 1040 form?

Thank you Desibabu you are greate help. Yes I removed all contributions and interest gained. So in your opinion I won't be required to go to Tax Consultant to do taxes for year 2006. Just don't claim IRA contribution on Line 32 and report difference between Fair Maket Value of IRA - Contribution ...

MT: US Taxes on IRA, Roth and 401K

Gurus, Here's situation. 1) Opened IRA account(first time) in 2006(self and spouse). Made contributions of $3800(each) 2) Took distribution is Jan2007 bcoz we are moving back due to unavoidable reason. 3) Got Form 5498 from Fidelity. Now how to report this all while filing Tax Return? Please help.
