How to hedge falling US dollar.
RRK: Thanks for the response. My objective is to tide-over this temporary/permanent (?) dip in dollar value. The time frame for the hedge is about 6-12 months. After this period, I will need the hedged dollars in Ruppees.

How to hedge falling US dollar.
Gold is one of the options for hedging the falling dollar. But I have no ideas on how to go about? Any suggestions on buying of the metal itself at this point of time?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Loan against FDs..
Desi: Thanks for the response. Just to clarify - if I keep say a 1L FD with the bank for an interest rate of say 6%, and interest on the same amount of loan is say 11%, then essentially I am paying the differential of 5000 INR a year? Any strings?

Dear Friends:
I understand that there is a facility to avail loans against FDs in India. How does it work? During the loan period, do I get to gain the interest on my FDs? Please throw some light.
Thanks.
