In July my portolio has bonds:stocks ratio 36:64. Since then I am slowly moving some of bond MFs to stocks MFs. I dont have much cash that I dont need in next 2 years to invest in Market.

My tax status MFJ. Me & spouse both employed. AGI ~120K.

My company has 401K plan, I contribute to it. My spouse company doesnt offer 401K.

Can I contribute to traditional IRA in addition to ROTH 5K?
Can my spouse contribute to both? traditional IRA 5K and Roth 5K?

I found that there is no transaction cost for ETFs in Vanguard(may be the account need to have more than certain amount?) Also if I convert existing MFs to ETFs in the same asset class there is no tax impact. So Is there any reason to hold MFs at all if ETFs offering all good things such as no ...
