We're planning to R2I to Chennai next year. How does the admission for kids to Under Grad education in India work? Would they be able to apply at the Govt as well as Private just like the local kids or is NRI quota the only option? Appreciate your inputs..Thanks!

We are planning on getting US citizenship and applying Greencard for our parents. Would this impact their pension negatively?Is there any other financial/taxation info that we need to be aware of before we do this?

Thanks for your reply. Yes - It is a little far off from the city right now with no infra structure. May be in 2 yrs, the area may pick up and be liveable

We were planning to R2I next year for the past two years. Unfortunately we couldn't get a property in Chennai for us to live in - we got a land, but we would need to build a house if we plan to move. With the current real estate boom, we are worried whether we would be able to get a decent property ...

"Montessori schools" seem to be an upcoming trend in Chennai these days. Anybody knows of good montessori schools in Chennai?

We r2I for the sake of our kids/parents now. 15-20 yrs down the road, we get old and our kids are located elsewhere, perhaps in US. Would we as parents R2A for the sake of kids again? Does it make sense to R2I at all in now? Just wanted to get opinions on what people's thoughts are.
