thanks for the perspective. but is it an issue of hours of study or an issue of blending into the class out there? I would imagine that the kids staying in india and going to school and preparing for JEE or medical etc have to put up with more punishment??

Well you can think of boarding a plane if you are getting treatment for a chronic condition. you cannot do it for an emergency like a heart attack or a fracture.
