I was in India last month as a pre R2I visit. My address in Fidelity is still US one. I am able to buy stocks, funds, etfs, and sell them as well. Bill Pay also works for a US institution and was able to use Money2India to transfer money from FIdelity Mysmart account to ICICI Bank as well. [quote ...

The OCI document has our US address listed. Once we R2I, how do we change the document to reflect new address in India?

Thanks nand. If in the US there are CDs that span across years, I have received 1099-INT for a prorated/some calculated interest reporting for that CD for tax purposes. Thats why, I am asking this. SInce INdian Banks dont issue any official document for tax purposes, they only indicate the interest ...

I am planning on a pre R2I visit next month and planning to login into FIdelity, perform trades from India, do FIdelity Bill payment etc. I will report after I come back.
