Incidently, Indian Govt employees get Travel re-imbursed for their vacations ...and Adamans is the most expensive bill they could rake up for the GOI . So, in my last visit, I was surprised by the typical vistor ...

Isn't being resident of a good school district a premium ( albeit small ) we pay for a house (or rent ) ?
Many of my friends and myself did consider "a Good School District" as one of the criteria.

Anybody thought about Andaman & Nicobar islands as a holiday/retirement home ?
I would second r2ikyon. Even the people were much amicable. May be the "sea of distance" from mainland has worked wonders on their attitude.
