u don't need a ticket to expedite the passport. u just tell them a date, and that's fine. all they care about is the extra money that u pay to expedite.

how much u need wud depend on whether u're R2I'ing with an intention to retire or with an intention to continue with a 9-5 job (or business) with steady income. if u're planning on retiring, then again it depends what city u're retiring to. in my case, my hometown is dehradun...and i safely retire ...
