Dilemma : R2I for short duration
Indiafan, We had a relative ( in forties) who got into an accident and had to be taken to Manipal as the medical requirements were serious. It proved fatal and the delay in getting medical attention was one of the causes - this was about 8-9 years ago and hopefully things have changed since then ...

Dilemma : R2I for short duration

These may or may not be major issues for ...

How to politely refuse disclosing salary to friends and relatives in India?
How about going the philosophical route - " We are getting too money- minded these days - everybody is interested in money" or " For me, there are more important things than money...." or " I am not that keen on money.. but the job content" and then spend a few minutes on what you do at work.

Does any of you know about Thor? They have a model which has some kind of a mechanism that sucks out all vapor at the end of the washing cycle and dries up the clothes. It is expensive and I have not heard anybody using them - so looking for reviews. here is a link to their site. [URL]http://www ...

Indians are not alone with mixed feeling about R2I
I dont think the going back is true of only IT - I know many people from punjab going back even after citizenship. The difference between US and India is culturally too wide to adapt to. The initial european immigrants had the advantage of building a culture they were familiar with and hence easy to ...

Rs/$ Effect ? The R2I numbers going down
#4- rajram I am in the same boat as you - it seems as if hiring experienced people is on a hold in India. I am now looking for companies that will hire me here and transfer me to India - that seems to be the best bet. I beleive the chances within US companies is best (for moving to India) because ...

Solar House with water recycle
Virgo_mc What do you want to reuse the water for? If you are looking for 100% recycling - as in potable water - then I think it will be a while before you see that in practice. There is a british company that has developed a prototype for this - but could take years to get into production. But a ...

My R2I (Bangalore) Diary - DosaiLvr
DosaiLVR,
Your last post is depressing - but hopefully the festive season - umpteen street corner ganesha's and the cracker craziness of Diwali - is still going on!
Oh - the rain in the US is cold whereas the indian rain is wamer and enjoyable - 'majawagi nenibowdu'.
