I have taken a home loan from HDFC in 2004, But I have been told that there is a pre closure penalty of 2%. Even if I want to repay them with a lumpsum money in between, I have to pay 2% penalty.

Thanks for the replies. I contacted TD Ameritrade, I got a reply that they need the SSN for the beneficiary. I am curious to know how those who stay and work alone in US mention the beneficiary in their IRA , 401 k accounts.

I am working here since July 2006, I will be here till JUly 2008. I am filing my Taxes as single. My spouse and kids are in India. I want to open a Roth IRA a/c, but i am unable to mention my spouse as beneficiary as she does not have SSN no or TAX ID? Is there a way to reslove this?
