I bought Panasonic 42 inch 9UK model from Visualapex . I had it for a year now, so far it's been fine. If the problem continues you should go for replacement under warranty. I am using it here in US, but people have taken this model to India and are satisfied.

How do I decide the capacity on a step-down transformer. I have 110V applianes (plasma TV, DVD/VCR,receiver) totally abt 650 watts. Is a 1500 watt transformer enough. (which is abt little over 2 times the requirement). I'm looking at site 220-electronics.com

HSU STF-2 can be ordered as either 120V or 240V but not both. VTF-1 can be switched between 120 and 240V with a switch on the outside. VTF-1 is $399.
