I have an NRE account at SBI, Bangalore. I have recently taken USC and have appplied for OCI. Do we need to inform SBI/RBI with this status change while I am awaiting OCI?

If one is out of the US over 180 days in a year, you loose continuity (4.5 year continuous presence required) to apply for citizenship. Therefore, only option is work 6 months in the US and 6 months in India.
