Strategies against Falling USD
You should investigate on MERDX , it would be a good hedge against dollar. I still think gold as a hedge against falling dollar. I missed by chance at 550 and 600 (thinking it would go back to 450), i am wondering whether I should take the plunge.

My argument is as follows. I consider hedging as an insurance policy. If I do not have to use it that is great, but would give me some downside protection. I still believe equities should be held as a very high % in everyone's portfolio. I am not a big believer in bonds but I can live with a go ...

The best hedge against any falling currency is GOLD. Today Fed is cutting rates and dollar is falling. Tomorrow owing to pressure from exporters in India, RBI may do something to weaken Rupee. I also saw about the RNOR status when you return to India.My question is basically for the long term. So I am interested in knowing the tax structure during and after the RNOR status.
