How to get off the Grid (Cable TV to be precise)?

One very decent option to get off the grid is hulu plus(www.hulu.com/plus;) sadly this is US only as of now..... For $9.99, this one's a steal.... You'd need an internet enabled TV or a box such as the Roku box or an htpc(a viable htpc can be bought for $300) to view Hulu/Netflix/Amazon ...

Congrats to Rafael Nadal for winning his fifth RG..... This is the second time Nadal wins the French without dropping a set, now only one behind Borg in French titles.... In my book, he's the greatest clay courter ever(even ahead of Borg) because he's consistently turned away Roger Federer(who might ...
Not sure what is wrong with the seedings in the men's game. How come 5th seeded Soderling meets Federer in the QFs. Last year he was not in the top 10 and ended up meeting defeating Rafa only in the semi finals. I am rooting for Soderling today. Also rooting for another "S ...

Rafa wins Madrid and caps a remarkable clay season... Roger though with his play must take a lot of confidence into RG.... Now that Rafa's back at #2, it's likely that we'll see Rafa-Roger FO final, my other 2 SF picks being Ferrer and Gulbis(if he doesn't meet Rafa or Roger earlier)... Picking ...
Yes, NHL. Even if the hometeam San Jose Sharks are in conference finals and have a good chance of going to Stanley cup finals, I don't watch : ) This tidbit is due to just 10 sec glance on sports front page. Never liked ice hockey.
You're missing a great thing. I can't ...

Saw the Hit 4 Haiti fiasco live....
I've always been a Sampras fan, but this incident made Agassi look even smaller.....

Roger & Rafa were clearly embarassed to be there, Rafa probably a little less since he may have understood less.....

IITs and IIMs: A deathblow?

I agree with Bobus #3...

Most faculty at IITs/IIMs don't do world class research...

They do research, that's it...

It's the students that make it(especially the IITs), what they are...

Given the draconian nature of the JEE, shrinking the pool will lead to even better applicants...
