From what I have heard, since the past few years India does not allow the import of left hand drive cars ..if its a RHD , I think its OK but may have to pay a lot of duty...

The dealer would probably know the worth better, so would give more or give you less because he certifies it. Where as the used car dealer may give you more . After reading your post , it occurred to me that selling it to a dealer is probably a better idea. Did you try asking the dealer ( I guess the the regular brand dealer). As the dealers also sell certified pre-owned cars. I am planning to return end of Sep/1st week of Oct. I was concerned about ...
