Anyone applied/got their OCI in India recently? If so, can you please post how long the process is taking currently?

Can someone please explain in detail the OCI application process from India? Can we choose which FRRO to apply at? Do we need to make a personal visit to the FRRO or Delhi either to handover the passport or to collect it once OCI is approved? Also, how long does it take to get the OCI in India ...
