R2I'ed USC: File tax in US, claim credit in India OR vice versa?
Where should I file first, US or India? I'm an R2I'ed USC (in 2nd year if RNOR). My income is mainly through my software sales through a US based reseller. Is this considered US source income, or is it India income, as I've been resident in India all through the year... Does that determine where ...

Anyone returned to Rohini, Delhi
I have R2Ied to Rohini. There are many good schools in Rohini - I checked Heritage, DPS Rohini, GD Goenka and they all seem to have French faculty in a Google search. Admission starts in December/January.

Single Member LLC income - is it US income for purpose of RNOR?
Hi,
I am a US citizen R2Ied in Sept 2009 with OCI card.
Is single-member-LLC income considered 'US income' from an RNOR perspective?
Thanks,
rxs

Late Filing
I am a US Citizen, who R2Ied in Sept 2009. I am running late and might miss the July 31st date for filing my India return. I don't want to rush into filing as it'll take me a little time to collect the needed information. What are the implications of late filing, how late can I file, and what is the ...

Keeping ex-company's Group Health Insurance through CORBA after R2I?
Thanks for the responses. I was thinking of keeping the COBRA health insurance option for unforeseen high-ticket health problems. Given that the premium is high, and that it's not even readily usable in India (Thanks Old-Spice2 for relating your experience!), I am convinced that I wouldn't take this ...

Keeping ex-company's Group Health Insurance through CORBA after R2I?
Hello, I have R2Ied recently and will be quitting my US company soon. I am starting my own company and will not be seeking employment in India. I have the option to keep using my ex (US) employer's group health insurance through COBRA (i.e. by paying my and my employer's share). Does it make sense ...

Getting Indian License by showing US one
I went to a RTO office in Delhi and the MLA (officer/head) told me that is not the case... do you know if this is possible in Delhi (i.e. exchange US license for Indian)?

QN for Rajesh Dhruva: Paying Indian Taxes on US Income
As you are an OCI card holder, you are a USC first. USCs are taxes on their global income, though there are some exclusions (I think about $85K). So, you are liable to pay taxes to uncle sam, and also to Indian govt. (I'm a nove in tax matters, but this is my understanding thus far).
