How do I handle the fixed deposits while filing TF 90-22.1 for tax year 2009. For example, if I have a FD of Rs. 5,00,000 which I opened in 2009. A follow up question - I believe that a USC/OCI resident in India can freely invest in stocks, without the need to go through PIS. Is my understanding correct?

Modest - You say in your post that in your last trip you got your child admitted to DPS. Coulpe of questions:

1. Was it difficult to get admission at DPS?

2. And, did they charge you more fee becuase your kid is USC?
