My R2I Diary - Genaccmiller
With the exception of one or two people there seems to be pretty much consensus across the board that cutting the losses and selling is the way go. I have one question. $18k is a Lot of money to lose. Any recommendations on how to sleep at night knowing that you lost so ...

R2I MBA from ISB or R2I Job
Like in the US, non-IT consulting firms tend to get most of their pipeline from top undergrad and b-schools and don't expend much energy on in-market hiring. Since you have narrowed down to Mumbai and a few likely firms, your best bet is to see if you can connect with people working in those target ...

Packing
Agreed that using good packers helps but there are many sub-contracted groups in this chain so be prepared for some variation. We moved with sky2c and had them pack some stuff. While the packing itself was very good, it was up to us to tag the box, write down the contents, write down value, etc ...

applying for reentry permit
You must apply while you are in the US and you also need to be there for fingerprinting. Fingerprinting appointment usually comes within 2-3 months of application. After that you can leave and the REP will be sent to the address specified by you.

We did the same thing. The Excel sheet also had a list of contents in each box and the estimated value of each box which you will need to provide for insurance. Keep a few printed copies so you have ready access without needing your laptop each time. I would not stick the list of contents in each ...

Before R2I - Keep Indian Citizenship or take US Citizenship ?
ak4net, we haven't got around to applying for USC yet but we are starting the process this month so I'll update you once something happens. Apparently the n-472 is some kind of formal approval of the n-470 app. We didn't get it but the lawyer thinks the approval letter will do. I have no idea why ...

R2A Experiences - Return to America !
I hope you might know that origin of the business and cash flow determines the source of jobs.
Many "American" companies get a large and increasing portion of their revenues outside the US. Meanwhile, I've never heard anyone say Americans working in the US in Toyota ...

Women's Corner: Hijack & Banter and Random Thoughts for Ladies #3
Do you mean things to buy in India to take back with you to the US? I would buy a small purse, clutch or similar types -- you get lots of different colors and designs here and I believe its pretty trendy in the US too. Can't think of 4 other things -- I used to mainly stock up on sweets and savories ...

India Salary - Please evaluate
Usually companies use the % to mean a proportion of their target bonus, not proportion of base/fixed pay. Below is an extract from an article from ET -- "The top performers have got in excess of 200% of the target performance bonus payout, while the average payout is over 165%. " Article at ...
