Also, in IGCSE (cambridge) along with maths you can either choose statistics or mechanics and our son chose mechanics so it is pure maths plus mechanics and they add the scores of his pure math and mechanics in both 11th (AS level)and 12th (A level) and give a grade. While talking to the counsellors in PURDUE they said they won't be looking at the GPA instead they would just look at his grades...so i guess it depends on each college !!
