anyone travelling to india via Qatar after the recent developments?

We are coming to chennai this month end and looking for good stores to buy curtain for our home in US. We have the measurements.
Last time we tried in pondy bazaar and it was not very satisfactory. Any suggestion for other places/stores in chennai?

Planning to buy a car for my parents who has been using Tata Nano so far. Any good cars with basic amenities under 4 L ? (anything is good for them comparing to Nano :))

Wife and I had to work from India (Chennai and Trichy) for 2 weeks. Our parents/in-laws doesn't have internet connection.
Any suggestions for temporary internet connection and also phone service for making calls from India to USA?
