Your friend is coming from a product development company to a service company like Wipro, TCS? I want to hear what other experts on the forum have to say, but feel that the compensation is very low for his experience.

as far as I know Social security points is not linked to your continued GC status. So if you have gathered 40 points, you are eligible to get social security... of course rules may change in the future depending on the way they handle the deficits in US.
