Folks - I have Samsung LN52A650. I tried Sun Direct, Airtel HD, TAtsky HD. Except Sun Direct, nothing works with this model unless you have a converter. Luckily I bought an Atlona converter just before I left the U.S. So it is put to good use now. For those of you in looking ...

Is Atlona AT-Line-EX a good converter for 55" TV? Does TV size make any difference?
The reason most likely is, your TV does not support PAL or 50Hz input. You need to get a converter. There is no such thing as cheap ...

MT: All Questions on taking TV to India - LCD, NTSC, PAL, 110V

Rigmorale,

Do i need a PAL to NTSC converter for SAMSUNG UN55C6500. I am planning to have SUN DTH connection. It appears that this TV has a PC/VGA input option.
If not what would be my option for a 55" TV? I prefer sony/samsung LED. Is it worth buying 3D tv UN55C7000 for India? Thanks in advance.

which shipper is best for small shipments?

Surias and Paru,

I am trying to get a quote for my LCL to Chennai. Let me know if you guys have found a better quote. Universal quoted me higher than couple of other quotes. I have the same feeling as surias that they are not interested in LCL shipments.

Hi Froogle, what was your volume? Was it door to door serive? Thanks.
For boxes I second uline.com. Do not go for Home Depot or Walmart boxes - not recommended.
