Yes OCI needs to be renewed every 5 years for below 21 years old, I got my kids OCI renewed when they got a new passport.

OCI Card is the only required thing which they see at the immigration counter. You will be fine. So does it mean you still havent got the OCi for your son. Depending on where you live check on the indian consulate website and apply. I think now they have all given to VFS to process the applications ...

you have many schools (bvm, sishya, APL global), make sure you contact the schools before. luckily for me my inlaws sorted all out and my kids got the seats.

thats great and good luck with the move, we moved back couple of years back when kids were young and it was easy to settle in. let me know what exactly you need in terms of information regarding oakridge and i can try to find out.

I would suggest do some preparatory work in which area you will be staying etc to see the schools, the kids may have find it a bit difficult if you move in the middle of the year with respect to adjusting to climate, environment etc and also studies as in india you know they grind the kids well ...
