Doctors In Aundh Area
For General Physician, Dr. Avinash Kulkarni (MD, opposite Sarja) is good. Does not prescribe medicines unnecessarily. For dentist, Dr. Abhijit Kale, Shirine Garden. Clean, competent, professional (in terms of appointment timings), and I haven't heard any bad stories about him in my 12 years here ...

Seconding @returnindia123's suggestions. I have tried most of these except #5,10,11 and would heartily recommend them.

International School and Non International. > That seems to be a great cost. I think you should prepare to pay about Rs. 50k to 100k ...

@M&M I don't know much about other schools, but I think your characterization of Vidya Valley is inaccurate. Specifically: 1. Principal *is* part of the school management - she is the founder and the primary driver 2. My kids have a great one-on-one relationship with the principal - she's very nice ...

@Morning Star, 2: A rental car will cost you around Rs. 1000 per day. It will come with a driver (you have no choice in that matter). Travelling by Rickshaw is also a viable option, and will work out cheaper than the rental car. 3: For restaurant suggestions, check out [url]http://forpune.com ...

@FromOZ, Unfortunately, my kids are in 1st and 3rd std. So I don't really know much about the situation about the higher classes. I'd heard a lot about the "teachers leaving" problem a few years ago. Have heard it less this year. I hadn't really heard of higher class students needing tuitions, but ...

In the past a number of prospective parents have worried about the fact that their child does not know Hindi/Marathi, and what issues they'll face in the school here. I can answer the question from the point of Vidya Valley: 1. For Indian citizens languages are mandated by the board. (Vidya Valley ...
