Thanks Gappo - not doubting you :) BTW I was talking of the infamous CTC - did not include RSUs and stock options which are another beast altogether. Just a 'developer' - what happened to Program Management :)
RSUs are very real money. Even though the vesting is 20 ...

Help with Salary for Director of Product Managment role
Do you mean Sr Director at MSFT is towards the higher end of the range? I agree with Ramkan's numbers -80L is somewhat in the VP range - MSFT really pays well - must be the highest paymaster in the Tech industry. I heard Google is comparable too.
I work at MS and trust ...

"MNC" is too broad a categorization for us to put forth a meaningful salary range for a given designation. The salary for a "director of product management" can vary from 25 to 80 lac CTC depending on N variables.
At MSFT its toward the higher end of that range.

Yahoo India and Google India Interviews
I'm a little surprised by your question. If you're planning to come in as an Engineering Manager in Yahoo/Google, I'm assuming you have worked in similar companies (Amazon, Yahoo, Google, Microsoft etc) for long enough to know what they ask. If your question is how the India recruitment differs from ...

2010 CTC experiences
Cheer up! You need to start feeling more confident about yourself, and appreciate your good fortune and success. The fact is that a vast majority of people in India, and even in the IT industry, aren't doing as well as you are (in terms of money). Many of the lesser successful ones aren't any less ...

Salary offer Evaluation
Concur with KirKS. Assuming your experience is in top semicon companies, the base sal (17.5) is less - 20 to 25 is what you should shoot for. However, if RSUs are recurrent, they will make up for this deficit.
Gappo, Role is Technology Architect and designation is Senior Technology Architect. Salary is average...not a big number. Does anybody have salary structure for a Senior level person @Microsoft India
The salaries on the hamaraguru website are very inaccurate.
Here's the real range for "Senior" band at MS IDC:
L63 - median base salary of 23-24 + average 10% bonus + average 7 lac RSUs = about 32-33 CTC
L64 - median base salary of 27-28 + average 10% bonus + average 9 lac RSUs = about 38-39 CTC
