DO NOT TRUST Your man in India

I have been having a hard time with 'Your Man in India'. I wanted a certificate & paid for Expedited Service which is much higher than the usual amount. They promised me to do their best to get it as early as possible. It has been 3 months already & each time, they come up with a new reason explaining their delay. They keep charging for every trip they make to your native town/District office. I have already paid several installments of money to them. Now they say the job cannot be completed. They even refuse to refund the money I have been giving them.

DO NOT BE CHEATED LIKE ME!! If you choose 'Your man in India' you are sending your money down the drain...

I had paid for their service in the South. But even after 3 months they never got the job done. They got money in several installments & are not willing to even refund the money back to me. Whether South or North, they are just not capable. DO NOT TRUST YOUR MAN IN INDIA.Its a waste of time of money. Instead pay your friend in your home town to get the job done.

Anyone else have any positive or negative experiences with YourManInIndia.com recently, like in the past year or so, in South India?

I used yourmanininda service in 2006... I had to get a no-record available certificate for my birth. Had a very positive experience - they kept me up to date and finished the job properly. It was from their Kolkata branch.
I believe that your experience would largely depend on the king of local agents handling your case.

I contacted them last week - I wanted to rent out my apartment in Chennai. They emailed me back saying the property division is closed for may be two months! I was disappoined. But I was impressed with their prompt update to me via email.
