Hi all,
I am new to this forum and very inspired by reading all threads. Now I am planning to R2I but need your opinion and advice.
Let me tell you more about myself. I done my CA and got married and moved to USA with husband on H4,,,therefore no job ..applied for H1 in 2008 with IT consultant (desi) but no luck. then got F1 so that can work on CPT but recession hit USA and again no luck,,,decided to do CPA and continue with MBA ...meanwhile got pregnant and blessed with angel....now my daughter is 6 months old and I am done with CPA and MBA. Got OPT and 90 days to look for a job(30 days already passed with no luck). The main problem is that I am fresher and have no real experience except Internship one and recruiters are asking for green card /citizenship.
Now I dont want to waste more time here in USA without doing anything thats why planning to R2I. Luckily My husband has no problem. He is IT Professional and thats why v are considering bangalore and hyderabad as options.
First I want to know from all of you that my decision to R2I is right or not? If yes then what are all things we should consider for R2I. My daughter is UScitizen and v are planning to send her back to USA when she will be 18yrs...(want to know abt her citizenship problems and all)Can v retain her USC till she is 18yrs in case v are not coming back to usa....although we are planning to come back to USA after 3-4 yrs after having experience in resume.
I am really confused about my R2I decision coz v dont have that much of savings also (only 40k in bank)...Thts y I want to know from you guys Is that much will be enough to start a new life in india ( we will move once my husband will have job in hand and I will look for job once v will settle in india)
Please help me and give me your opinions..

Whew!! tough questions. I've been in this forum for almost 3 years, but haven't gotten the answer to
how much would be enough? I learned from the financial gurus
about AAPs and
financial planning, but then the
financial crisis hit and I only see
doom & gloom in US now, but
growth and opportunities in India. I
don't have kids, so don't need to deal with
USC/OCI/PIO issues, but sure I'm concerned about my
future kid's education (even though I was
not quite disenchanted with my Indian education, as opposed to some others). I have
lots of dillemmas, but people on this forum just confuse me more and more. One thing I'm not confused about is
whether to take USC or not. But these darn
Bangalore real-estate issues and
Indian Tax planning just make my life hell. So to escape from all this, I engage in lots of
meaningless chats or go
hijack threads of other confused souls like yourselves.
Being on H4 is very tough, but make sure that when you R2I, there is not
interference from parents.
I hope I was helpful!! If not, you can
complain to Desi ji or RRK ji to boot me out of here. But please make sure to provide
reference to the coc and make them believe that you did make an attempt to use the nice
Google search on top of the forum page :)
Good luck and may your R2I be a success.

All I can tell is that you are among the better qualified people that has a chance to land a job even in this economy. Have you considered moving from Portland, OR (as per your profile) to say, New Jersey or California for better career prospects.
