hi,

i am working in infy for 2.8 years now in SAP practice.

i am switching because of stunded growth and poor exposure( most will disagree, but i am not fortunate )

i have offers from Wipro( SSE Band B2 Kolkata 6 lakhs), TCS(SE Grade C1 Kolkata 5.4 lakhs) and IBM(Technical Consultant Band 6A Bangalore 6 lakhs).

i want to be an SME in my domain and also wish to go onsite in next 2 years.

i am not aware about the things to take care while making such decision.
i would appreciate if any experienced person guides me on taking my decision on which to join.

While I suggest to spend minimum 4 years in a company like INFY, lf you still wanted to proceed, I would pick IBM for 2 reasons. 1) Bangalore 2) Wipro and TCS are a step-down from INFY in terms of so many things.

While IBM is not-so-different, it will strengthen your profile tomorrow along with INFY.

Just my 2 cents

They are all more or less same.

In Calcutta, your expenses will be cheaper compared to other metros.

In Wipro, you'll be most staying late.

In TCS you may stay late or go after lunch depending on what project you get. TCS gets lots of projects from state govt. to overseas clients. Depending on your situation, you may get a project to your liking. Onsite opportunity is more in TCS (at least it used to be - I left TCS long time back so don't know current situation). TCS also tends to have more long term onsite options.

IBM - looks good in CV. But less onsite and tends to be short term only.

Most companies are like that after few years unless you can involve heavily in corporate politics.

As someone's whose been with Wipro for sometime, strictly avoid as its degrading in terms of people sensitivity and growth prospects.
