Where do you predict most of USC R2I kids, parents will be 15years from now?

My feeling is R2I USC kids will be taking up careers abroad (may not be US), but r2I USC parents will continue living in India. thoughts?

Admin: Please merge this thread if this has already been discussed, I couldn't find such discussion/poll.

I am currently thinking that the kids will get bachelors level education in India, and masters level in USA, with parents LIA during masters, and then let the new plans then take its course.

Oh boy! 13 years back when I moved to US I didn't even know that 13 years later I could return back to india with USC. Same goes now. I don't want to even think about one of these paths now. If I choose one, then it will be tough to resist thinking about that and it will happen.

I would like my kids to go to US or some other place for their undergrad and decide for themselves where they want to work. Part of the reason why we R2Ied is to make sure kids will consider India as an option to work or live once they become adults. If kids grow up in US their entire life, they will never move back to India irrespective of how many vacations they have taken to India.

As far as we are concerned we will be happy to visit them wherever they are but will be based out of India. Unlike our parents who did not feel comfortable living in the US for extended periods of time, we would be happy to catch up with old buddies and watch football games :)

I am not sure of bold part due to expense (cost of living) reason.

I never had the desire to go to US nor liked staying there(I enjoyed though). I did my studies in India and wish the same for my kid. I would prefer they stay in India and not to end up in this forum. Well, its still God who decides.

Many of us realize this only after we live abraod for few years, so I guess we should encourage our kids to remain abroad for few years to get that realization.
