somebody;481349She feels that we are throwing away a great future(esp for Kids) if we let our GC expire. (GC expiring in few months)
Isn't your GC status or USC eligibility at risk with R2I at this stage?
How did you manage to maintain GC status and USC eligibility with R2I?

I have Reentry Permit for maintaining GC - helps for upto 2 years outsife US. I do not know if it is sufficient enough for USC..Reading from the posts, I guess not..I may have to stay another 5 years in US to get to citizenship, I think..

OP - going by YOUR Individual decision, do you think, you can keep peace at home first? If that becomes an issue, then there is no point continuing to LII.

Somebody - I congratulate for the R2I first.
USC is something worth it and go for it with a 4yr + 1 day rule. USC is always better than GC or losing GC :) --- this is just common horse sense.
FYI - My wife threatened to break my legs if I R2I to Bangalore. :)
It sounds like a wife's choice.

It is a wife's choice.....only if she had belonged to the mob..... viz.,
la cosa nostra. And so... R2I to some other city would cost you only one leg ? ....and some favored city would cost you no legs at all ? :wink ??
