Hello All,

I am new to this forum and this forum is really great and helpful for making decisions to R2I, But I could not find some key information like differences between US and India education and benifits between them in one place.

Can you please point out pros/cons with each education system and also reasons why you want your child to enrol in either Indian or US system.

I dont know much differences but, Here are my 2 cents.

US System

Pros:

1) Independent Child
2) Extra circular activities
3) Very social
4) Good soft skills


Cons:

1) Not competetive, Challenging and Academic.
2) Might be infulenced by American culture

India

Pros:

1) Academic
2) Opportunity to get admission to Top Indian Institutes like IIT, IIM etc..

Cons:

1) Not sure about social/soft skills and being Independent
2) Limited Extra circular activities

I am in fence on regarding to R2I for providing education in India or US. If I need to return to India, I was thinking that by Age 8 is best time to leave US.
