LoveIndia;144496#11 Confused - I understand that all kids are not equal in studies. However, even an average student can excel provided a good teacher teaches in such a way that they create interests in the subject even for an average student. I come from Chennai and all along my life I lived in a suburb called 'Adambakkam' which is close to airport. For the past 25 years, I have seen student excel in that area due to excellent private teachers offering tutor help in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I studied in a Govt. School and in XIth standard, I still remember some students coming from Tamil medium background. Our teachers taught Math, Chemistry and Physics so well that even tamil medium students scored centum in these subjects. Trust me, there is a solution as excellent teachers teaching with their approach/methodology creates interest in students where in turn students gets motivated and work very hard to achieve their dreams. If you need further help, you are welcome to PM me so that i can point relevant pointers to help. Two teachers which I can highly recommend for XIIth standard coaching are Math Teacher Mr. 'Adalarasu' and Chemistry Teacher Mr.'Shahul Hameed' in that area and I consider them as God. Sorry if I am overboard but can't flatten them in what myself and my friends have achieved today for their invaluable service at that age/time.

Hi LoveIndia, I was a student of Adalarasu & shahul hameed as well (long long time back). They have certainly changed many thousand lives. I'm planning to go look for them in those schools ...hoping to see them. Do you currently live in chennai?

Our experience:

When we R2Ied, my elder was in Fifth grade. My daughter was gifted student in USA and honestly she lost confidence in initial year here. It took around couple of years to regain confidence back.

Of course, we are planning to R2A for her Under Graduate study for following reason:

1. We have a concern regarding Education Quality of higher class and also about competition here.

2. It?s good chance my elder would like to settle in USA so we thought it?s better to have higher education in USA.

We may return after her SSC to qualify here for In-State tuition fee for Under Graduate study.

In case you decide to R2I, make sure you do enough research and finalize the school. It is not easy to change school in later year as kids make friends and then refuse to change.

It's my 2 cent.....

> Excellent Private Teachers will do the trick even for average performers..
something outside topic-
desis are obsessed about Kids and Kids education. BOY, why can't our teacher jobs glorified and get the respect it needed. I think teaching jobs should be the highest paid jobs than IT, Banking or engineering.
