We have just R2Ied to Gurgaon with 2nd - 3rd Grader. All the so called international schools have lot of NRI kids those have come to different grades. They would waive Hindi requirement for admissions and help your your child pick up hindi/or other language faster. Accoridng to their experience, they find kids at 3rd grade pick up the language easier and do not see any problems.

All of the schools are open to mid-season tranfers and very flexible with admissions. Make sure to get CBSE text books from India for your 3rd garder and teach them in summer so that the transition will be smoother.

thanks, is second language waiver for first few months/years pretty common?
Also, apart from academics, do international schools "really" encourage extra curricular activities, all of them mention this in their website, wanted to confirm it it is true..
