We were planning to move to Kochi, but now changed mind and almost finalized to move to Bangalore. After lot of research, we have picked Surjapur Road area. The primary reason for the selection of this location is easy access to many IT companies/electronic city etc. Also, this area have lot of good schools. Just bought a plot in Surjapur road and if everything work out well, we will move in 2011 April~June.

Have you investigated the water problem around Sarjapur road area - no Cauvery water supplied. Hopefully you'll find a good and simple solution, I'd be interested to hear about it.

I haven't. My sister lives there and I have been visiting her often. Since I never heard any complaints about water (other than flood during heavy rains!!), I really did not bother to check that. It could be an issue in that area.

The plot I bought is next to the proposed land for 'Azim Premji University' and is around 300 meters distance from the Sarjapur road. It is a new layout and is supposed to be a gated community, but no houses built yet. I bought it few weeks back before the announcement of the university came. So, I got it at a pretty good price. Now the price has gone up. A new school by Patrician brothers (St Patrick's Academy) has started this year and is in walking distance from this layout, which will be the school for my kids, if things work out. Wipro corporate office is 5km from this place. Search for "Azim Premji University" in Google maps to see the exact location.
