Holiday Capsule Wardrobe

Ladies, need your expertise on what to pack for holidays. Going to a sunny island with temp around 24 degrees (max 28 degrees), 7 nights, most of the time on beaches and water parks (with kids). Don't want to pack too much.
Here is what I thought so far -
1) 2 swimsuits/bikinis and 2 Sarongs.
2) 3 shorts (may be one jeans skirt + 2 shorts - linen/cotton).
3) 3 vest tops.
For evenings/dinners
4) 1 maxi dress
5) 1 Trouser (linen) +1 tunic
6) 1 regular dress
7) 2 cardigans (neutral colours - probably black and white).
For travel
8) Jeans + top (may be a jacket if cold).
9) 1 pair of sandals (for beach) and 1 pair of jewel studded (ballet pump kind) shoe for evenings.
In short -
Days : 3 tops + 3 shorts + 2 swimsuits and sarongs
Evenings : 2 dresses + 1trouser (+ tunic) + 2 cardis
Footwear + accessories (limited).
Will this be enough. In the past often I packed too many things that I didn't use or too less of what I used. Don't want to repeat that.
Any cool accessories you could think of ?
Planning to do my hair Today. My hair dresser suggested something like this.
Don't know if it is bit girlish though :-).
